1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Dinnect. By creating an account, you represent that you are 18+, have legal capacity, and that your information is accurate. Accounts belonging to individuals under 18 will be terminated immediately.
2. Account Registration & Security
You may register via email and password, Sign in with Apple, or Sign in with Google. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and all activity under your account. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that provide false information or violate these Terms.
3. Description of the Service
Dinnect is a professional and social networking platform enabling users to create profiles, share posts and stories, send messages, discover nearby users, create and attend events, and build professional connections. Dinnect does not verify employment, business claims, or user identity beyond registration information.
4. User Content & License
You retain ownership of all content you post. By posting on Dinnect, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute your content solely for operating the Service. This license terminates when you delete your content or account.
5. Messaging Disclaimer
Messages are encrypted in transit (TLS) but stored in readable format on our servers. End-to-end encryption is not currently implemented. Do not send highly sensitive information through Dinnect messaging.
6. Location Services
The "Nearby" feature uses real-time GPS data. Location tracking is off by default and requires explicit opt-in. You may disable it anytime through Settings. Dinnect is not responsible for consequences arising from in-person interactions initiated through the Nearby feature.
7. Events & Real-World Interactions
Dinnect allows users to organize and attend in-person events. We do not screen attendees or guarantee venue accuracy. Users attend events at their own risk. Dinnect disclaims all liability for harm arising from event participation.
8. Third-Party Locations & Event Points
Dinnect displays locations, venues, institutions, landmarks, and other points of interest (collectively, "Event Points") so users can discover, create, and join events. Event Points may include publicly known places such as universities, business centers, campuses, accelerators, office buildings, and commercial venues, shown solely as reference points for event coordination and geographic identification. Non-Partner Event Points. Many Event Points are not owned, operated, controlled by, or affiliated with Dinnect. Their inclusion does not imply any affiliation, sponsorship, endorsement, approval, or partnership between Dinnect and the relevant entity, nor that the entity has authorized, reviewed, or is responsible for any event or content associated with that location. Dinnect Business Event Points. Certain Event Points represent locations that have an active commercial relationship with Dinnect under a separate agreement, and may be eligible for enhanced features, branding, or integration. Any such relationship is defined solely by that separate agreement. Trademarks. All third-party names, trademarks, logos, and venue identifiers shown as Event Points are the property of their respective owners and are used solely for identification and reference. Their use does not indicate any association with, or endorsement by, the trademark holder. User-Organized Events. Any event associated with an Event Point is organized solely by the user who created it, not by the named location. Inclusion of a location does not grant attendees any right to access private property, and users are responsible for obtaining any permissions required for events held at or near a venue. User Responsibility. Users are solely responsible for the accuracy, content, and legality of any events they create, including events associated with any Event Point. Dinnect does not control or verify user-generated event content except where explicitly stated for Dinnect Business Event Points under separate agreements. Corrections & Removal. If you own or represent a location shown as an Event Point and wish to request a correction or its removal, contact legal@dinnect.app. We review and act on reasonable requests.
9. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: harass or threaten others, post illegal or infringing content, impersonate others, scrape or reverse engineer the platform, use bots or automated tools, send spam, upload malware, or disrupt the Service. We may remove content and terminate accounts at our discretion.
10. Content Moderation & Reporting
Users may report profiles and posts that violate these Terms. Dinnect reserves the right to review reported content, remove violations, suspend accounts, and cooperate with law enforcement.
11. Intellectual Property
All Dinnect branding, logos, software, and design elements are the exclusive property of Dinnect Inc. You may not use our intellectual property without prior written consent.
12. Privacy
Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy, incorporated into these Terms by reference.
13. Third-Party Services
Dinnect integrates with: • Apple Inc. — Sign in with Apple, MapKit • Google LLC — Google Sign-In, Firebase Cloud Messaging • Amazon Web Services — Media storage (planned) These services are governed by their own terms and policies.
14. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account for violating these Terms. You may delete your account anytime through Settings > Delete Account. Deletion includes a 30-day grace period. After 30 days, all data is permanently deleted.
15. DMCA & Copyright
If content on Dinnect infringes your copyright, submit a takedown notice to legal@dinnect.app with a description of the work, the infringing material, your contact information, and a good faith statement.
16. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind. We disclaim all warranties of merchantability, fitness, non-infringement, and uninterrupted availability.
17. Limitation of Liability
Dinnect shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Total liability shall not exceed the greater of $100 USD or the amount you paid in the preceding 12 months.
18. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Dinnect Inc. from claims arising out of your content, use of the Service, or violation of these Terms.
19. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Estonia. Disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration unless prohibited by your jurisdiction. EU/EEA consumers retain all mandatory consumer protection rights.
20. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via in-app and push notifications. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
